Nichole Nordeman . . . Wide Eyed
Nichole Nordeman has just made her debut in the Christian Music Scene. For those of you who receive Christian music radio stations in your area you probably have heard her tune "To Know You" off of her first album release Wide Eyed. Nichole's been out on a radio and media promotional tour these past weeks. So far, she's been to Chicago, Indianapolis, Toledo, Cleveland, Cincinnati and Louisville (and everywhere in-between). She'll be visiting several Christian radio stations from the east coast to the west coast in the next several weeks.
If you don't have a local Christian Radio Station, may I suggest the one I listen to on 91.9 FM, WRCM (New Life 91.9). You can now listen to Charlotte, NC's Premier Christian Radio at their web site, wrcm.org. Or if you already have real audio you can click here and enjoy what the listeners in my area have been enjoying for years!
Nicole's sound is very similar to Cindy Morgan. As a matter of fact,
Mark Hammond produced this new album for Nicole as well as producing Cindy's
first three albums. With an excellent producer, lyrics that you can understand,
and vocals that flow like streams of living water, she is bound for the
top of the charts. Nicole is an artist that has gained respect in
the Christian Music Industry and has what it takes to spread the Gospel
Message in an easy to understand way through the CCM we have all grown
to love. Nicole says "Song writing is very much like picking up a journal
for me. Sometimes I'm up at one o'clock and something is very heavy on
my heart. Instead of writing it down in a book, I'll write a song."
Her honesty and integrity is like a breath of fresh air we all will
enjoy breathing in.

To Know You Lyrics
Words by Nichole Nordeman
Music by Nichole Nordeman & Mark Hammond
It's well past midnight
And I'm awake with questions that won't
Wait for daylight
Separating fact from my imaginary fiction
On this shelf of my conviction
I need to find a place
Where You and I come face to face
Thomas needed
Proof that You had really risen
Undefeated
When he placed his fingers
Where the nails once broke Your skin
Did his faith finally begin?
I've lied if I've denied
The common ground I've shared with him
And I, I really want to know You
I want to make each day
A different way that I can show You how
I really want to love You
Be patient with my doubt
I'm just tryin' to figure out Your will
And I really want to know You still
Nicodemus
Could not understand how You could
Truly free us
He struggled with the image
Of a grown man born again
We might have been good friends
Cuz sometimes I still question, too
How easily we come to You
No more campin' on the porch of indecision
No more sleepin' under stars of apathy
And it might be easier to dream
But dreamin's not for me
